Box Taping Tips to Ensure That Your Goods Remain Damage-free When You Move

Box Taping Tips

One of the major concerns that you face while moving your home or office is to keep your fragile object safe during transportation. In fact, a large number of people hire the service of professional packers simply to ensure the safety of their goods. However, if you plan to pack things yourself, you should follow the below mentioned box taping tips to not only create a strong packing case but also to keep the things packed inside it damage free while it is being moved.

  1. Make sure that you create a strong base for the box by folding in the flaps and taping the central seam.
  2. Ensure that while taping the seam, you extend the tape well down the side edges for a firmer grip.
  3. Add a criss-cross layer of tape across on the outer side of the bottom to add to the strength of the base.
  4. Finish off taping the bottom by placing two parallel strips of tape across from the central seam and extending them well down the sides.
  5. Once the bottom of the box has been taped properly, fill it with the items it is intended for right up to top in a tight manner.
  6. Next close the top flaps of the box in tight manner by slightly pushing in the sides with your body and hands.
  7. Now place a strip of tape to cover the central seam of the top and as earlier extend the tape well down the sides.
  8. Next place two parallel strips of tape across the top creating a shape of “H” with the central seam to secure it tightly.
  9. While it is not necessary to put a criss-cross of tape strips on the top side, you might do so for sealing the box really tight.

The above tips will ensure that you are able to pack your fragile items in a manner that keeps them safe while moving.
